FOOD&HOTELVIETNAM2017 Commences Today!

Food&HotelVietnam (FHV) - an established trading platform for Vietnam’s food and hospitality industries since 2004, has officially returned for the 9th edition in Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC). The first-day attendance of FHV17 hits all-time high with 4819 trade visitors hailing from 39 countries, amongst whom are 112 buyer delegations. Top 5 visiting overseas countries are Malaysia, Singapore, China, South Korea, and Cambodia – all are eager to discover many new products on display, network with like-minded professionals as well as to establish valuable knowledge links.

The opening press conference of Food&HotelVietnam2017 attracted more than 65 reporters and journalists from top tier media in Vietnam and well beyond. Following the press conference was the press tour during which a number of highlighted exhibitors and group pavilions were afforded face-to-face meetings with the journalists in order to provide a hands-on look on the featured products.

Understand the flavor pairing fundamentals and indulge yourself in a myriad of wine tastings at New Viet Gastronomy’s seminar. Under the dedicated guidance of the French wine expert Rene Marre, the workshop drew the attention of many participants, taking the traditional wine bar experience to a whole new level with impeccable food and exciting wine lists.


Vietnam Culinary Challenge (VNCC) wrapped up its first day of competition with impressive results, featuring 255 individual contestants and 3 teams, competing across 6 different classes:

• U.S Poultry Hot Chinese Cooking
• U.S Poultry Hot Cooking
• U.S Beef Hot Cooking
• Live Fruit and Vegetable Carving
• Fruit and Vegetable Carving Display

This competition truly provided the visual feast of the first day! With every move being observed by industry professionals, the pressure was definitely on among the competitors to come up with the best signature dishes to wow the judges within a time limit.
