Airfares from April 30 to May 1 are as high as Tet holiday

22/04/2022

Many tourist routes from Hanoi on the occasion of the holiday April 30 to May 1 are nearing the ceiling of ticket prices, while for tourists from Ho Chi Minh City, the ticket price has also increased to expensive levels.
With nearly 2 weeks left until the peak of the holiday season 30/4-1/5, it becomes more and more difficult to book travel tickets for Ms. L. Huong’s family (Dong Da, Hanoi). “My family of 4, wants to travel to Hue, but now the fare is 7.3 million round-trip, the whole family has spent nearly 30 million air tickets, which is higher than tickets to travel abroad,” Ms. Huong said. settle.

Currently, according to a survey by Zing, groups of tourists like the case of Ms. Huong’s family do not have many options to fly cheaply during the holiday season 30/4-1/5, if departing from Hanoi. With the route to Hue departing on April 30 and returning on May 3 according to the holiday schedule, Bamboo Airways is the only airline that still has a flight with a round-trip ticket price including taxes and fees of VND 7.3 million.

With the route from Hanoi to Phu Quoc, which is considered the most attractive domestic tourist destination in 2022, the airline with the cheapest round-trip ticket price for the above flight schedule is also Bamboo Airways (6 million VND). Other choices of passengers are Vietjet Air flights at 6.2 million VND and Vietnam Airlines Group flights at 7.1 million VND.

It can be seen that the price of tourist tickets on the occasion of the 30/4 holiday from Hanoi is as high as that of the Lunar New Year fare in the years without the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The route Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc during the holiday is recording the cheapest ticket price at 2.9 million round-trip, the airline is Vietnam Airlines. Other choices of passengers are Vietjet Air (3.3 million VND) and Bamboo Airways (3.9 million VND).

The flight from Hanoi to Nha Trang on the occasion of the 30/4 holiday is also recording airfares to a high level with the cheapest fare at 4.9 million dong round-trip, the airline is Vietjet Air. At a higher price, passengers can choose flights of Bamboo Airways (5.6 million VND) and Vietnam Airlines (6.4 million VND).

For passengers flying from Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang during the above peak period, the cheapest fare is at 3.2 million VND for Vietjet Air flights or 3.8 million VND for Vietnam Airlines flights.

Ho Chi Minh City passengers traveling to Hue will also have a much more “breathable” airfare than passengers from Hanoi. The cheapest fare for this route is currently 3.4 million VND, the flight is operated by Vietjet Air. At a higher price, passengers can choose flights of Bamboo Airways (4.8 million VND) and Vietnam Airlines (4.9 million VND).

To move to Con Dao during the holiday, passengers from Ho Chi Minh City will have to pay a ticket price of 7 million VND on a VASCO flight. From Hanoi to Con Dao, all direct flights of Bamboo Airways are sold out, passengers will have to connect in Ho Chi Minh City by Vietnam Airlines flight, then fly to Con Dao with VASCO, total cost 7.8 million dong.

According to Zing’s research, the price of holiday combos including airfare and accommodation is still at a high level. Before that, the demand for combos increased dramatically, many flights were sold out, so some agents “hugged” a large number of tickets. In addition, airlines also increase a number of flights per day. So, in fact, airfares can drop a bit. As for the hotel, the room fund is fixed, so the published price remains the same.
