International visitors to Vietnam increased more than 4 times

According to statistics of the General Department of Tourism, international visitors to Vietnam in April were nearly 70,000 arrivals, up 466.7% compared to March. In the first four months of the year, Vietnam welcomed more than 92,000 visitors, of which From the time of opening March 15, more than 80,000 turns.

Realizing the fact, in the past month, many delegations from traditional markets such as Europe, America, and South Korea are returning to Vietnam, in addition to new markets such as Mongolia, Kazakhstan, India… On April 29, Da Nang welcomed the first 220 Korean guests back after the epidemic. Before that, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City welcomed the delegation of nearly 130 American guests.
This morning, the National Administration of Tourism released the video “Vietnam: Go To Love! – Let’s shine and live fully”, to promote the image of the country, people and tourism of Vietnam, ahead of the 31st SEA Games. In a meeting with localities about the plan to organize the SEA Games, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu said that this is an opportunity to widely promote the image of Vietnam’s tourism to the region and the world.
Not only international visitors, in April Vietnam witnessed a strong return of domestic tourism with 10.5 million arrivals, up 16.7% over the same period last year. Of which, staying guests reached 6.3 million.
